Sophia's Christening ♥

Before my daughter's christening, I was looking for a post on the internet on where to hold a christening here in Davao (Philippines) and since I can't find any, I decided to post this for the mommies out there who wants to have a successful yet not so expensive party for their little ones. ☺

We chose Our Lady of Fatima Parish (Corner Aurora- Fatima Sts, Davao City) since it is literally 10 steps away from my boyfriend's house. It's a public (not sure of the term) baptismal ceremony. Private/ exclusive ones are so pricey yet it has the same effect with the public ones. (mabibinyagan parin anak mo kahit public or private. Hehehe.)
Im one curious Mom. ☺

The Godmothers & Godfathers. & yes! I am wearing a black dress. I kinda look thin wearing black dress. My boyfriend's wearing blue polo.

Expenses:
Php 100 for the GKK
Php 380+ for the Church (including candles, cloth, calendar)

Total
  PHP 480

For Sophia's outfit, her baptismal dress was given to her by her Grandma. We only bought the shoes. It's not a baptismal shoes because I know I won't be using it after her baptism so we just bought the regular ones. We also bought her an after-baptismal-outfit cos we all know that the fabric in baptismal dresses are not cotton, and a pink headband which she didn't use cos she keeps on removing it from her head ☺All from SM Lanang.

Dress - FREE

Expenses:
Php 149.75 Shoes
Php 70 Headband
Php 139. 75 Shirt & Skirt Pair (not shown in the picture)

Total
 PHP 359.75

We chose Mama G Pies (Circumferential Rd., Marfori, Davao City). They offer buffet upon bookings for minimum of 20 pax and you can use the place for 3 hours. The food was okay since it's only for PHP 120 / person. Much cheaper than other buffet. They have UNLIMITED pies to die for and also Kare Kare. The place itself is not accessible but I still decided to push through Mama G's cos of the pies and the price. Also, it is small for simple gatherings and not for the big ones. We had approximately 45 guest.
Here are some pics in the reception. My mom bought Sophia a whole roasted pork  as a gift for PHP 4,500

w/ her godmothers. Sophia wearing the AFTER BAPTISMAL OUTFIT for only PHP 139.75

Buffet counter at the back

 Expenses:
PHP 5400 Buffet (120/person x 45 pax)
PHP 250 Corkage (Roasted Pork & 1 viand)

Total
 PHP 6300

I forgot the other expenses but I remember I paid  PHP 6300 for the buffet, corkage. Maybe I missed the half price for the kids

Other Expenses:
PHP 740 cake (ordered from Mama G Pies! So yummy)
PHP 1, 1450 Giveaways
PHP 360 Balloons
PHP 300 Tarpaulin

Total
PHP 2,850

GRAND TOTAL

PHP 9,989.75

Okay, I think I went a little over the budget but I didn't recognized it cos I bought the giveaways a month before her baptism and the "other expenses" was me & my boyfriend's extra savings. I guess unexpected savings can help us with anything. ♥
